Cooler temperatures — and maybe some showers — headed to SoCal this weekend.
We’ll have the weekly updates on the latest heat and wind issues as they pop up and take over the web and TV news.
Keep the power on. There are still plenty of fun events going down this weekend and next. Here are the latest ones for you to attend.
Friday
What to do
Los Angeles
From Friday, July 21 through Monday, July 24:
The Dominguez Hills
The “Bollywood” Festival of Films and Music, which is taking over Cal State East Bay with its first four days of the “Bollywood” festival, will be held at the Dominguez Hills Civic Center from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The festival will host performances from internationally acclaimed Bollywood performers, including Kailash Kher, Sonu Nigam, Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Shah Rukh Khan and Sonu Nigam, with an emphasis on music and “vintage filmi.”
In addition to the performances of these established and emerging artists, the “Bollywood” Festival will feature films from Indian film school to independent directors, a special focus on women in India’s film industry, and films that reflect the diversity of India’s “moora” (main) language.
The festival is the first in a “global” series of international Bollywood festivals that will also include Los Angeles, Sydney, London and New York this July.
Join the festival and show your school pride when you take your students to the “Bollywood” Festival.

Beverly Hills
From Friday, July 21 through Monday, July 24, Los Angeles’ annual “International Music Festival,” which is sponsored locally by the City of Beverly Hills, will take place at the Bel-Air Country Club.
