Devin and Devin started a prayer channel after witnessing an exchange between his wife and fellow congregant

The YouTube prayer channel started during Covid that’s causing a stir. A lot of the videos have been pretty controversial. Some have been supportive and even encouraged to pray. Others have been pretty bizarre, like when the guy prayed for God to send a virus to his mother. It’s a fascinating look into the thinking behind religious people today.

The “YouTube prayer channel,” as it’s being called, was started on March 27, by a man named “Devin.” Devin, who’s a Christian minister, decided to start the channel after witnessing an exchange between his wife and fellow congregant.

“She called me and said, ‘I know this isn’t going to go away. Let’s do something together right now. Let’s start a prayer channel, because I really want to find a way to have a good relationship with God,’” he told WSBTV.

The two had been discussing spiritual matters for years, but the conversation came into the open recently when she told him, he said, that she hadn’t felt really close to God in quite some time.

“I was like, God, we need to sit and talk and we need to talk about these things. And then I felt like, ‘It’s been a long time. It’s time to stop talking and move into a different place to communicate,’” he said.

“She didn’t have a problem with it. I didn’t have a problem with it. I really only thought about it in two moments,” he said. “She said, ‘If you really believe it, I want to do it with you.’ And I was like, ‘That’s great.’”

From there, the pair decided to start a channel. Devin said he knew he could build a relationship with God and help others around him by giving them the tools he had.
