Toronto will host a free vaccine clinic to fight COVID-19

Scotiabank Arena to host mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic for young kids Dec. 12-14

Scotiabank Arena will be hosting a clinic offering vaccine shots to children under two in order to help the Toronto area fight COVID-19.

The clinic, sponsored by Vaccines for Children, will be held Dec. 12-14 at the downtown arena.

The clinic is open to those between three and 16 years old. The program is an important part of the fight against the virus and will be offered at no cost to the registered participant or the parent or caregiver of the participant. The free shot is administered by a licensed medical professional or nurse for those between three and 16 years old.

The vaccine program comes at a time when we know vaccination is one of the only ways to stop the spread of COVID-19. Vaccines are also helping to decrease the risk of disease and death from COVID-19 in Canada.

With the help of the Toronto City Council, the City has now partnered with the federal government to offer vaccine clinics in Toronto to those experiencing outbreaks in their homes or communities.

Vital for Health and the City Toronto Public Health will also offer vaccine clinics in Toronto starting Nov. 10.
